Welcome to Cayuga Solar, soon to be one of the largest solar farms in New York State! Located on 434 acres in beautiful Lansing, New York, the proposed 18 MW facility is ideally located for energy generation and we are excited about working with our partners and fellow community members in Tompkins County to make it a reality. New York is in the midst of a transition to the better energy future we all want -- and we believe renewable energy, and Cayuga Solar, will be critical parts of it. According to the national Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), Cayuga Solar “is just a perfect illustration of the direction that America is headed, with solar playing a bigger role in our energy mix.” SEIA also states Cayuga Solar will produce enough power to sustain approximately 3,100 homes, emissions free. The project construction cost for Cayuga Solar is $30 million and will create approximately 150 new union construction jobs. We’re looking forward to the role we can play in powering the future of Tompkins County and New York.
